Parlanchina's Home Page

Welcome to Paul Mann & Joanne Whistler’s personal site

Parlanchina is the name of our narrowboat.
It is named after a character of Louis de Bernieres. Parlanchina is a young girl (who dies but comes back as a happy ghost) who talks with the animals, has a pet ocelot, and is generally enchanting. The name loosely translates as little chatterbox.
It may have been appropriate for the rattly old engine the boat once had, alternatively Joanne is not known for her restraint when it comes to talking...
Changing topic quickly, how do you titillate an ocelot?
