Parlanchina is the name of our narrowboat.
It is named after a character of Louis de Bernieres. Parlanchina is the cheerful ghost of a young girl who talks with the animals, has a pet ocelot, and is generally enchanting. The name loosely translates as little chatterbox.
It may have been appropriate for the rattly old engine the boat once had, alternatively Joanne is not known for her restraint when it comes to talking...
Changing topic quickly, how do you titillate an ocelot?

For Sale
